Wild Flower Kitty

As a face painter in Milwaukee, my busy season is June through October when I get booked for a ton of outdoor events. This is also the time of year when I order the most face paint. I always think I can get through the season with that first order in May. But this year, thanks to more bookings than usual, I am burning through my rainbow cakes. So far, I've made 4 orders for various face painting supplies including this TAG Pearl Golden Plum split cake that I can't get enough of.

Whenever I buy a new color combination I like to come up with a new design or two. I find that no matter how gorgeous a split cake might be, the kids don't go for it unless they see what it looks like on someone else's face.

I love, love, love the way the pearl wine, pinks and gold turned out on this kitty.

I was thinking tiger when I started this design, but my kids are adamant that this is a kitty cat. A tiger wouldn't wear a flower in her hair, they told me.

So here is my latest kitty cat design. It's inspired by Svetlana Keller's work which is just absolutely amazing.

Usually, I outline my cats in black, but I love the way the dark purple turned out here.
This TAG cake just might be my favorite split cake EVER, although I do say that about almost every new split cake I buy. But seriously, this one is so beautiful.
Products used: TAG Pearl Golden Plum, Paradise Wild Orchid, Paradise white, Global white, Global magenta, pink and iridescent cosmetic glitter, acrylic gem.
